Hi there!
My name is Natalie, I am a second year 7th grade Social Studies teacher. My Masters Degree is in Curriculum and Instruction. My Bachelors is in Middle School Education. The subjects I have tutored are English, Writing, Social Studies, basic SAT/ACT prep, and homework help (all subjects).
I love working with students of all ages, but especially middle school level. If your student is in grades 4-9, and needs English or Social Studies tutoring, including AP subjects for Social Studies or ELA, I am the tutor for them. All sessions are planned specifically for your students' needs, skill level, and interests.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
-Greetings/ get to know your student.
-Asking what areas you may need help in, creating a plan of action.
-Pre-test to see what areas need help.
-Planning sessions around those areas with PowerPoint slides, resources, and texts.
-Checking in frequently on student for understanding, providing extra resources for help.
-Assigning simple tasks for student to bring back to next session for consistency.
-Post test to see where student is and if further tutoring may be needed.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
-Tutors English as a second language to students in Asia over Zoom (reading and writing skills)
- Tutored 1 elementary age student and 2 college age students in Social Studies subjects
-Senior at Towson University (Middle School Social Studies and English B.S.)
-3 years experience as a childcare center aide, helped facilitate and supervise e-learning
