    Frequently asked questions

At first, I like to meet with a student to assess their strengths and weakness in the subject matter in question. I like to review their classwork and work from previous semesters to gauge their work ethic to see what type of approach I'll take to tutoring. These approaches will vary based on areas of concern I think your student needs to work on.

I've been tutoring since the 9th grade in elementary and middle school math. At university, I expanded that purview to all subjects when I tutored a student from Sandy Springs Friends School.  I majored in Chemistry and Philosophy at George Washington University and I completed a minor in STEM teaching to round out my undergrad education. I'm pursuing a Masters Degree in Chemistry at the University of Gottingen this October,

Middle and Elementary School starts at $20 an hour

High School starts at $25 an hour

    College is $35 an hour

Prices are subject to variation based on services rendered, such as additional unit plans incur a larger fee.

I started in high school because friends of my mom thought I was an acutely smart student and they figured Id be a good tutor, and I haven't really looked back since.

I've worked with 3rd graders, to 3rd years in Undergrad, I've worked with students from all backgrounds and upbringings, and although no two students are the same, as long as you can stoke a lust for learning you can get through to them.

I recently got my vaccination, that was a huge stress relief and it was nice because the world was finally on the precipice of opening up again.

Make sure they're in touch with your needs, a lot of STEM tutors tend to have difficulties breaking down concepts for students who are already struggling to learn on their own.

There are no questions that are too dumb to ask, the only thing a student should think through is whether they can answer the question correctly themselves.
