I am a high school English Teacher by day and an aspiring Novelist by night. I have a degree in Literature and a minor in Secondary Education. I have a passion for reading and what it offers.
I work with students of all levels. I am a mother of teenage boys and understand the frustrations as a parent.
I offer personal one-on-one tutoring in English, Language Arts, and Writing, as well as Confidence Building.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I start by getting to know the student first. I believe it is important to establish a relationship and earn trust. Learning is personal. Speaking and writing are personal. There are no equations to memorize.
I then assess the student and his/her needs and level of proficiency in those areas and set goals with the student.
Then, we get started meeting those goals!
I teach journalism and creative writing to high schoolers as well as literary analysis.
The cost is $30 once a week hour session, $50 twice a week hour session. I am willing to come to you.
