Reviews for Ashburn math tutors

Recent success stories from people in the Ashburn area.

Chidubem has been tutoring my daughter since February this year, and she has been more than amazing. She helped us with Algebra, Biology, and SAT prep tutoring, and my daughter has been getting much higher scores and feeling way more comfortable with school since we started with her. She got an A in both classes (she had struggled with getting A's in Math before) and a 1410 on her SAT (up from 1250 in her PSAT!!). We had a tutor before Chidubem, but unfortunately, they were not able to form the relationship Chidubem had created with her. I am honestly so insanely grateful for Chidubem; she has made my daughter much more interested in school and studying in general and she is just amazing. I HIGHLY recommend her!!!

Vickie is really good at explaining the details while not letting you get lost in them. She helped me figure out a different way of looking at chemical processes. She’s also really patient and gives careful attention to her students. It was a pleasure having her as a tutor!

Working with Shane has been phenomenal! Shane is extremely flexible when it comes to scheduling - he's been gracious enough to work with whatever crazy schedule we’ve had. He has tutored my sons (14 and 16) in math for almost a year now. Shane is very patient with my ADHD teen, where in the beginning, my son needed constant prompting to stay on task. Now, he needs very little and even goes above and beyond to complete worksheets on his own. Shane is also incredibly adaptable, showing different approaches to problems, catering to each child’s needs. Both boys’ grades have greatly improved throughout the year. Not only have they developed basic skills that were neglected, but they have a newfound confidence in math! I would highly recommend Shane for your tutoring needs!!

I've been working with Tami for well over a year now as she has helped guide me through college level Calculus courses. I was really hoping to find someone that is patient and willing to carefully walk me through difficult to grasp concepts. She is more than willing to personalize her tutoring to your style of learning. Also helps that she has a great sense of humor and is easily approachable. If math gives you any anxiety like it does for me, then Tami is a great choice as she truly helps you believe in your own capabilities and helps you expand them. I cannot recommend working with her enough!
