I love working with students and always have. I wanted to be a teacher starting when I was just a little kid. I enjoy making learning fun for students and creating assignments that they can connect to. I also enjoy making sure that each student knows their ability and strengths.
I love allowing students to have fun while learning. As a teacher, I am also constantly learning new things. That is one of my favorite parts about this job!

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
With new students, I make sure to get to know them as a person first. I want to make sure that I know them well that way I can understand the best way they learn. It is also easier for students to learn if they feel like they can connect to the teacher.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been a middle school ELA teacher for 3.5 years now. Before that, I was a teaching aid for a year and a half. I also have helped students with their college essays.
