About
With over five years' experience in afterschool programs, I am quite skilled in getting students motivated and excited outside of school hours. As a martial arts instructor, I worked with students of all ages, backgrounds, and abilities--often at the same time! This has made me quick to notice students' individual needs and preferences; I am able to adapt and pivot to new strategies when I can tell something isn't working. My unique experience teaching Sunday Hebrew School has also allowed me to develop a communication-based teaching ethos that centers the student's ideas and experiences with learning. I will always do my best to listen to your student and make sure my teaching strategies reflect their individual needs.
I love to see students succeed, especially in areas that have previously given them struggle or hardship. My greatest joy as a martial arts instructor was watching a student's enthusiasm grow as they grew their skills.
