EZ Math And Science
About
I am a student studying Microbiology and Immunology at UCLA and am quite adept at the topics I teach. Additionally, I understand how it can be challenging to grasp concepts when first learning them. Having gone through most of the rigorous curriculum that students are going through right now -- I can help students understand concepts in a manner that is easier to understand and give them tips and tricks that can help alleviate some common confusions
I love teaching and have been doing it for more than 3 years. It is simply exciting to be able to help people excel at something that they care about and want to learn -- which is what motivates me to teach better.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I usually try to gauge the root concepts that are making students uncomfortable with the subject that they are learning and begin making my way from that concept and onwards. I try to finish by teaching the student some tips and tricks to make the concept seem easier and then give them an in-depth look at the concept.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been a student who has gone through and excelled at all the curriculum that I am teaching -- especially with the AP subjects (where I have learned from teachers that have graded the AP exams) -- and I have been a student tutor for more than 3 years teaching all the subjects I offer to students
How did you get started teaching?
I found an opportunity as a student tutor in high schools and I began helping my peers learning concepts that we were learning in class. What I sometimes could understand instinctively, some other students couldn't. I would help those students understand the root of the concepts -- especially in the sciences -- and how they can approach these concepts from intuition rather than rote memorization.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with students from elementary school to the high school level and taught Math, Science, and English at almost all levels.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Look for someone who has more current knowledge of how the school system works and what teachers want to focus on today. This will help you as those tutors can guide you towards creating a better understanding of the topics that you are trying to learn
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
They should try to consider what topics they are actually confused about. This is important as sometimes students believe that they are weak on the subject as a whole while there might be only a few skills that they are lacking to achieve mastery. Identifying your weaknesses allows you to save time and frustration while giving you a route to getting the best form of help that is necessary.
