Richard Hua

Hello, my name is Richard Hua, and I specialize in teaching Mathematics, with a particular focus on competitive math. I have extensive experience teaching all levels of math, from elementary school to college. Additionally, I have successfully helped my students improve their AMC and AIME scores.

When it comes to the stress of learning math, I can fully empathize with the pressures students face, especially when tackling complex and abstract topics. In 2022, I qualified for the USAMO, and in 2021, I qualified for the USAJMO. These competitions are intensely focused on math Olympiad challenges, and achieving these qualifications positioned me within the top 250 students nationwide.

Throughout my journey to these achievements, I faced significant pressure to learn large volumes of math material effectively. Mastering any subject requires time and dedication. One important lesson I learned is that there are no limits to what one can achieve in math. Everyone has the potential to excel—it's a matter of persistence and belief in one's abilities.

My primary goal as a tutor is to boost my students' confidence in all mathematical topics. Teaching, to me, goes beyond achieving good grades; it's about ensuring my students grasp the fundamentals and develop a deep understanding of the concepts. This strong foundation allows them to apply their knowledge flexibly and confidently in future challenges.
