About
Hi everyone! My name is Helen, and I would love to be your tutor! I graduated from Tufts in May of 2023 with a B.S. in Biology. During my four years at Tufts, I maintained a GPA of 3.92 and made the Dean's List every semester. Having learned how to study efficiently, I have a strong foundation in the STEM classes I took and am confident in my ability to explain the topics in a variety of ways. At Tufts, I also worked as both a private tutor and teaching assistant for two biology courses. These experiences allow me to adapt content and teaching methods to meet the needs of each individual student.
The subjects I teach include chemistry, biology, biochemistry, mathematics, and even essay writing! You will find that I truly love the subject material and enjoy finding the cross-bridges between what may seem like very different subjects. As an aspiring med student myself, engaging with the material deeply and connecting it to everyday life has helped me learn it better. Therefore, I apply the same philosophy for learning to my teaching style. I encourage my students to think outside the box, consider how they will use this in a non-academic setting, and how it will play into their future career goals. Regardless of your goals for seeking a tutor, I hope I can offer my mentorship and experience as a resource for you in your journey!
My tutoring sessions range from $50-70 an hour, and range from 1 to 2 hours depending on student needs. Feel free to reach out by sending me an email or a text message, and I look forward to navigating this learning journey with you!
