Hello, my name is Richard Hua, and I specialize in teaching Mathematics, with a particular focus on competitive math. I have extensive experience teaching all levels of math, from elementary school to college. Additionally, I have successfully helped my students improve their AMC and AIME scores. When it comes to the stress of learning math, I can fully empathize with the pressures students face, especially when tackling complex and abstract topics. In 2022, I qualified for the USAMO, and in 2021, I qualified for the USAJMO. These competitions are intensely focused on math Olympiad challenges, and achieving these qualifications positioned me

Hey I’m Mishmath. A Math focused tutoring company. I’ve been in the tutoring biz for 5+ years. Test prep is my bread and butter. The SAT, the ACT and the GRE (Standardized Tests) are my favorite things to teach. I have a Bachelors Degree and a Masters degree in Computer Science. I gave up a 6 figure paycheck and a comfortable 9-5 software engineer job to be a tutor full time. That’s how much I love it! Tutoring for me is not just about memorizing the material. It’s about actually learning it and having fun with it.

Amanda F. says, "I started tutoring sessions with Marco to prep for an aptitude exam that involved a lot of math. I hadn’t taken a course since 2016 when I graduated high school. After a couple of months of tutoring/brushing up on skills I honestly feel way more confident and it’s all because of Marco! He is super knowledgeable about the subject. He tailors the way he teaches based on the student, whether that be by doing an example and then having them try some on their own or by working through problems together. Also his previous experience as a teacher definitely shows as he is great at breaking down difficult topics in a way that is easy for students to understand. Literally cannot recommend him enough and if I need any more tutoring in the future I definitely know who to reach out too. :))" Read more

***We currently only offer online tutoring. Additionally, please select only one SoFlo tutor, as we incur costs for each tutor you choose.*** Hi, my name is William. I love working with students. The most rewarding part of tutoring for me is when a new concept “clicks” with a student - their excitement is contagious, and it’s a privilege to be able to help them reach that point! Fun fact about me is that I’m a dual sport mathlete. I partner with students on a one-on-one basis in the SAT and ACT through SoFlo Tutors, my tutoring agency. I scored in the top percentile on both exams, studied at the University of Florida with a degree in financ

I can't recommend Arno enough! I passed both Organic Chemistry 1 and 2 because of his amazing tutoring. When we first started, my understanding of basic chemistry was very limited, Arno spent hoursss patiently teaching me the fundamentals and making sure I was fully prepared for quizzes. He created a comfortable learning environment where I felt at ease asking questions and was always very patient. If you need tutoring, Arno is the one! 1000/10

I have known Felipe since summer 2017, and I have been beyond pleased with the results that he has produced. I have found Felipe to be a very clear communicator with an interest to inform all parties of his plans and the expectations he has of his students.  He is quick to respond to requests and detailed in his explanations.  Felipe is an intuitive instructor and customizes his approach with each student.  He is thoughtful and encouraging in addition to be firm and being clear about what needs to happen.  Another very positive attribute is that Felipe is interested in feedback from students and actively solicits this feedback to improve his teaching skills. Felipe is also eager to receive feedback and constructive criticism. He enjoys the opportunity to brainstorm ways he can tackle more complicated student behaviors.  He is aggressive in his search for how to best serve his students, drive results, and be creative in his methods. Based on Felipe’s work and his results, I would highly recommend his services. He is caring, hardworking and wants what is best for students.

Dr. Briel is a fantastic tutor. He was able to seamlessly weave the crucial elements of Greek grammar together with interesting, engaging readings. My goal with Greek tutoring was to begin to read Patristic sources in the original text, and so he introduced me to them via a wonderful text called "A Patristic Greek Reader," which selects passages of the Church Fathers and presents them with extensive notes and vocabulary. Dr. Briel was able to help me to navigate these notes and aid me in not just understanding the grammar, but in actually reading the text itself. Many of our meetings also contained extensive discussion about the content of the text, which brought the readings to life and sparked interest in further studies in Patristics. Our sessions initially took place in person, and then they transitioned to online and phone-call meetings due to the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic. Dr. Briel was flexible on all of the dates and in every format, and he was able to accommodate my somewhat erratic schedule. For those just starting Greek and those picking it up after some years, I heartily recommend him for your studies.
