I am passionate about helping students to learn to love and enjoy STEM subjects, including mathematics, the natural sciences, and computer science.
I believe that a strong foundation in these subjects will help students to view the world with greater fascination and equip them with confidence needed to achieve mastery over their world.
I help students build a strong foundation in STEM and give them the confidence to go achieve great things.
He was a great tutor. He really went in-depth on making me understand how to answer the questions and what ways are the best to answer questions.
Kamoya is a great tutor! He is helping me to understand the mechanics and concepts of intermediate algebra and precalculus. He has put together an action plan to assist me in my learning goals.
My experience with Kamoya was great and exceeded my expectations! I hired him for SAT prep in the math portion and he really helped me feel more confident in my ability to solve some of the harder questions on the test. He was very flexible and took the time to make sure I understood the material fully. He was very efficient in planning the dates we would meet, and he even sent me homework that he would do himself to make sure he could give a good explanation when I did not understand. At the end of our sessions, he gave me a compilation of all the problems I got wrong so that I could go over them before the test and make sure I wouldn't make the same mistakes. I am so glad I found him on this site!
This site is excellent! There were many opportunities to select the right tutor for my son. I like how quick and easy the turnaround was. I would recommend this site to others.
I like to first discuss with the student to get a sense of how he/she feel about the particular subject, including current strengths and weaknesses, as well as their improvement goals.
I have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from MIT and this makes me very experienced and quallified in the areas of mathematics, physics, and computer science. I also took AP Calculus, AP Physics, AP Chemistry, and AP English Language in high school and so I am very familiar with the subject material most students are dealing with.
I charge $70 per hour.
My counselor at high school recommended me to some parents looking for tutors for their middle school children because of my high grades and responsible character.
I have worked with students ranging from age 12 to age 23 on subjects like algebra, calculus, geometry, physics, etc.
You've come to the right place. Getting a tutor can help you to greatly increase your understanding and confidence in whatever subject you seek to improve at. Having studied at MIT for my undergraduate and (current) graduate degrees, I have the knowledge and insights that will help you improve your confidence, understanding, and grades.
Students should try to identify the topics they are good at and the ones they need improvement in. Furthermore, students should outline their learning goals so that it is easier for the tutor to track progress and milestones.
