I graduated Harvard in 2018 with an Honors degree in English Literature. I specialize in essay writing, and would love to help students through any part of the essay writing process. From analyzing texts together, formulating an argument, writing an outline, to editing drafts—I look forward to helping you turn in an essay that you feel proud of.
I do not write essays for students. The feedback I provide is guiding, and will require work independent of our sessions together. My ultimate goal is to equip you with the tools necessary to be a successful writer on your own.
I also help with college essays, or any personal statements of any type! I've tutored elementary and middle school students for years, and am looking to primarily serve high school level students now. However, if you do have a younger student who needs help in these areas, feel free to reach out!
I love helping students feel confident about sharing their ideas on paper, and in the classroom. I think great readers make great writers, and vice versa, so we will do a combination of both in our sessions together. Any work that empowers people to grow and become confident in an area they once viewed as a weakness, is an immense priviledge. I love setting goals with my students, and watching them get closer and closer to those goals with every session together.
Above all, the people are what make this work so rewarding. I have formed many years-long relationships with my students and their families, and getting to know the people I have the opportunity to help is one of my favorite parts about this job.
Very friendly and easy to work with. Highly recommend
We will set a price/date/meeting place for our first meeting together. When we meet, we will assess your growth areas, go over relevant assignments, and set goals with a step-by-step plan. I will assign fun assignments each session that we will each complete individually during the week, and then talk about during our next session.
My current pricing system is as follows (for college essay prep costs, scroll down):
30 min: $60
45 min: $80
1 hour: $100
With this fee, you'll receive additional resources for learning on your own, homework assignments that we both do, my personal contact info so you can email or text me any time with questions you have, and a step-by-step game plan so you can measure your improvement in this subject area. I spend a lot of time outside of our sessions together preparing materials and exercises for my students, and reflecting on how we can make the most of our time when we're together.
