Elementary Tutor

I am an elementary educator with 26 years of teaching experience, primarily in grades K–2. I specialize in tutoring reading, writing, phonics, and math, and I have extensive experience supporting young learners with a wide range of academic needs, learning styles, and abilities.

Throughout my career, I have worked closely with struggling readers, students receiving special education services, and multilingual learners. I understand that every child learns differently, and I believe in meeting students where they are while providing the individualized support, encouragement, and strategies they need to grow.

I believe children learn best when they feel comfortable, supported, and engaged. Building strong relationships with students is at the heart of my teaching, and I strive to make learning both meaningful and enjoyable. My goal is to help children build confidence, strengthen foundational skills, and develop a love of learning that will support them both in and out of the classroom.

One of the most rewarding parts of teaching is seeing a child have that “aha” moment when something finally clicks. Whether a student needs extra support, more practice, or a boost in confidence, I work to create a positive and encouraging environment where they can grow and succeed. I offer in-person tutoring with a focus on helping K–2 students become confident, capable learners.
