About
In the most general sense, I love math. That's why I'm majoring in it and I hope to share with others my viewpoint on how math is great. I am always willing to stay extra time to make sure concepts are understood. It satisfying to see people understand something they didn't beforehand.
Math is always logical but can feel absolutely illogical because of how it's presented. I enjoy presenting math in different ways to try and show why I like math. Because of that, I love seeing and helping people have that moment where things click and make sense.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
It helps if you can also provide the specific subjects/material you are asking for. When you first reach out and provide the details Tutors.com asks for, I'll typically respond within a day with further details. From there, we can discuss schedules and payment. Payments can be in the form of PayPal, Venmo, or Zelle and payment happens prior to the tutoring session. Payment plans can be discussed further as needed.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've obtained my high school diploma from North Quincy High School taking honors, advanced, and AP level courses. Currently, I'm an undergraduate student, studying mathematics at Stony Brook University. While on campus, I was on the executive board for the Residence Hall Association, giving leadership, advocacy, and mentoring experience.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
The pricing really depends on the material that you want help with. Generally, rates will be $20-$40 per lesson, depending on what it being taught.
How did you get started teaching?
I started teaching in 2021. As a student, I had firsthand experience with the sudden shift to remote learning and experienced and understood the challenges that came with it. This actually inspired my pursuit towards education as a career.
What types of students have you worked with?
All my students have been at the college, middle, or high school level. These have always been remote sessions, at first through necessity and now through choice.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I had a student who showed so much improvement that they were able to correct mistakes on homework before I even finished my explanations. It really displayed a developing understanding and I was glad to be able to contribute to said growth.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Don't be afraid to ask questions or try multiple teachers. Everyone learns differently and anyone who truly wants to help won't take it personally if you decide that someone's teaching style doesn't work for you. Teachers should have a genuine interest in your improvement and have that be a significant motivation.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
It's always good to reflect on specific points of challenge before talking to a teacher about help. This helps the teacher provide the help you need and sometimes, by reflecting on the specifics, you can end up figuring it out yourself.
