About
My tutoring service is an accumulation of experience with k-12 students at a local charter school in Boston, tutoring for a sociology course in college and my Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. I have experience tutoring ESL students, reading, writing and editing essays for content and grammar. I will create an individualized plan for students to encourage learning and retention during COVID-19 and for the upcoming school year.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
My process is to communicate with their guardian to understand what they would like to polish or learn. Then I would evaluate their skills based on MA standards and develop a plan to reach their goal. Activities would include reading aloud, writing based on a prompt or freestyle, editing grammar and quizzes without grades.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Emmanuel College in Boston. I have 5 plus years of elementary tutoring and summer counseling at a local charter school and church. I have a year of tutoring sociology at the college level and recently accepted a job to teach English to French primary level students.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
My pricing system will depend on the socioeconomic status of the family to ensure equity especially during COVID-19. I start off at $25 an hour and will discuss other prices if there are multiple children in the family etc.

To ensure that they can teach multiple subjects and has a growth mindset that can be passed down to their students.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
1. What they want to improve or learn 2. What level where they placed in before COVID-19 3. What may prevent you from learning information & how can the tutor help mitigate that?
