I was a math tutor throughout my college years. I've helped people with algebra, trigonometry, calculus, and statistics. I'm very familiar with the student's needs. I often used my experience to help them do well in math classes. I can quickly recognize the need for the student to improve their math skill. I have helped my church "Books and Basketball" tutoring program. Every time seeing the success my students earned, I feel very proud of them. I want to help my student love math instead of fearing it.
Mathematics helps to improve people's critical thinking. It's joyful feeling to communicate the people who can think logically and reasonably. Though, learning critical thinking is a time-consuming process. I enjoy seeing my student started using their way of reasoning their thoughts by proving their math solving ability. My graduate research has involved math and other science subjects. I know the importance of having a good math skill. In college, I studied quantitative economics with a minor mathematics. My first master degree was computer information systems. My math background has benefited me in many ways and I hope it will profit many people as well. I hope my stories will encourage them learning math.
