Jenna's Tutoring

1. No matter the skill we are working on, my first step is to always assess the student's current level.  Figuring out where the gaps are in a students understanding or processing is vital to their success. 

2. Then I work hard with a student to build a relationship where they feel known and understood.  This helps with asking them to take risks as we step into areas that they find challenging.  

3. Then I analyze their assessment results and figure out their goals and create a plan to bridge the gap from where they are to where they want to be. 

I am a certified special education teacher and work with students from kindergarten through 8th grade. Though I have to admit 5th graders are my favorite. I have experience working in different school environments from schools for students with specific learning challenges to a private Christian school. I have been running my tutoring business since 2012, with a focus on helping students with Math challenges and students with executive functioning deficits, though I tutor all subjects. I love working as a tutor because I am passionate about creating safe environments for students to step outside of their comfort zones and face their challenges with courage and joy.

Typically TutoringJenna charges $80/hr, though packages of hours can be purchased at a discount rate.  This equals out to about $40 per hour of tutor working hours with students receiving a dedicated preparation and planning time equivalent to their session length (if not longer).  

Sessions can be booked in 15-minute intervals, though in-person sessions have a minimum of 45 minutes. 

When purchasing a package the packages are measured in hours, however, they are charged in 15-minute increments, so you are able to utilize all of the sessions you pay for.
