The part that I enjoy most about the work that I do is helping students become successful in areas which were previously challenging for them.
Mrs. Leahy is truly amazing! Our son is in Kindergarten and only attending school two days a week, due to the pandemic. We were afraid that he might struggle with learning how to read and learning math, due to the lack of in-school contact. With the help of Mrs. Leahy, he not only is reading and solving early math problem, but he is exactly where he needs to be. She is kind and so great with our son. She keeps him engaged for the full hour and makes learning fun and exciting. We are lucky to have found her! I would recommend her to anyone who is looking for tutoring for their child for extra help or to just keep their child on track with learning!
Mrs. Leahy came to us, right when we needed her the most! Since the schools were shut down last year we felt it best to contact a tutor as our son was already struggling with ADD behaviors. With that said she not only has improved his academic skills, but has helped instill confidence in our son. Which above all is the best I could have hoped for. Thank you Mrs. Leahy!
An excellent and superb teacher. Punctual, hard working and knowledgeable.
I cannot recommend Mrs. Leahy highly enough. She has an impressive grasp of child psychology and a great variety and number of teaching strategies that really work with young children. I say this as an educator myself: I saw Mrs. Leahy at work with my daughter, who was falling behind in reading and math, and -- what was more worrisome for me and my wife -- was feeling low self-confidence. Mrs. Leahy has turned my daughter's self confidence around 180 degrees; moreover, my daughter no longer avoids math or reading any more, afraid of making mistakes. Instead, my daughter appreciates that mistakes are part of the process. And now she really likes going to school (she used to dread it). That is what I call the "Mrs. Leahy Difference."
