About
I try to personalize as much as possible and find out what is frustrating students.
I like seeing students have an AHA! moment. Seeing students realize they can figure things out and they don't always have to struggle.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Quick conversation about goals, self assessment, and current concerns. I then make observations about their process for studying l, what they do when frustrated, etc. I think cater activities and plans around their current success and goals.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a BS in Mathematics and an M.A.T in Teaching Secondary Math. I have been tutoring students since I was in High School and at the Math and Business Center when I was in college.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Pricing varies upon requests, i.e. is there travel incurred, customized plans, etc
How did you get started teaching?
I started helping friends with Math in high school, which lead to tutoring. I enjoyed helping people move passed challenges so they would stop hating math. I earned a degree in math, but worked as a computer programmer after I graduated. I still had people call me for help from references, So I continued to tutor. I missed the human connection of the learning process and left programming for teaching. That was 19 years ago.
