About
I am an elementary school special education teacher with 2 Masters Degrees: Elementary Education and Special Education. I am a licensed general education teacher grades 1-6 and special education/moderate disabilities grades pre-k-8. I currently teach in a social emotional sub-separate classrooms housing grades 1-3. Children with these types of disabilities are "my people". I thrive in gaining their confidence and watching them grow academically. I am available for tutoring at the elementary level for all subjects. I am also willing to help middle schoolers who struggle academically. Furthermore, I also have a registered emotional support dog that accompanies me to school. If you would like, he can accompany me to a tutoring session!!
I enjoy the kids. I love teaching them strategies to overcome their struggles. Building confidence is a remarkable strategy in and of itself. It's amazing what can happen when any student learns they are capable.
