My approach to tutoring is to look first at the student, rather than the subject. What is creating the difficulty for the student? How do we go about creating strategies to compensate for the difficulties a subject area is giving her? This will allow the student to take control of her learning become a more self-directed

The best thing aboutthis work is seeing the student succeed. It is very rewarding to have a student experience "ah-hah" moments, as subject areas become clearer and the student can further explore learning.
