Student Support Tutoring Service
About
Thank you for coming to check out Student Support Tutoring Services. I am a Special Education Teacher working in Massachusetts with students who have been diagnosed with Moderate disabilities. During the school year, I typically push-in to integrated classrooms and also provide pull-out services. As a special education teacher, it is my responsibilty to create curriculum that is sure to maintain high expectations while also supporting each individual students' needs.
Part time, I am an Applied Behaviorial Analysis Instructor where I work 1:1 with students varying in age and ability and work closely with BCBAs in Social Skills Curriculum and running social skills groups.
Supporting students is something that I am incredibly passionate for. I firmly believe that education requires a closer look at the individual and their needs. I currently have a Master's Degree in Special Education and have work in schools in various capacities for 10 years.
I love teaching. I have been teaching in some capacity for over 15 years. I have worked with children as young as 6 months old to teaching adults life skills. Working in such varied environments has provided me with experiences that I would have never learned in a classroom. I do have a Master's Degree in Moderate Special Education and currently provide push-in/pull-out services to students in grade 5. I also love learning and, through my own desire to learn, have discovered wyas in which students can take control of their own academic career.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Any time I am working with a new student, I find it to be essential to develop a rapport with them. It typically means having conversations, finding out what their strengths are and using that information to create a learning environment that revolves around student strengths versus focusing on only deficits.
