About

I taught math in public school (mostly Algebra and Geometry) for 15 years. I also have an MBA in Finance and and can relate math to real world situations! I think Math is fun and useful. I love showing reluctant mathematics that math is actually the simplest subject once you discovery a few easy tricks.

I HATE knowing some people think math is the worst and/or most useless subject. When I can help someone see the simplicity of math, it makes me happy!

    Frequently asked questions

Sitting down and asking what are you having trouble with?  From there, we just do math together.  Usually, it is just a confidence problem that goes away once they know they can text or call me at will when they don't know WHAT to try next.

My MBA in Finance.  My Certificate of Graduate Education from Boston College in "Teaching Math, Science and Technology" along with my additional certification in Special Education I earned in 2010.

I worked for Mobil Corporation for 18 years right after college.  My first job was doing statistics about how best to combine gasoline (or diesel) deliveries to small service stations, DPW's and marina's though out Maine.  After 18 years that included 10 physical relocations leaving me in Dallas,TX, I took the opportunity during the Exxon merger to leave and pursue becoming a special educator (I now have those credentials) and return to where my family all was in MA/NH.  Going into teaching is a decision I never regretted.

All types!  I taught "SNHU in the high school' math. This is a program where student take THE freshman college math course for non-science majors.  I have  co-taught special education students who were on a path to earn a certificate of attendance rather than a standard high school diploma.  The past two years I taught high school math in MA to detained juvenile males....many if whom had little recent classroom attendance and were not native English speakers. I really have worked with the gambit of young mathematicians including my 3 little grandkids ages 3-7.
