Hi! My name is Isabelle, I'm a undergrad student at MIT.
I love teaching and am prepared to bring any student to the level they need to get to the same level of university I did.
I have been tutoring for the past 5 years, with most experience with students aged 10-16.
If you are in Boston and Camrbidge, I can come to you, otherwise I offer lessons within MIT's campus as well.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Typically I would ask a student what their goals are and what they want out of tutoring. Then I would create a syllabus that naturally flows from one topic to the next. I find that students who are able to connect all of there ideas succeed more than students with a lot of holes between pieces of knowledge.
Usually going through a past exam is the quickest to discover a student's problem areas.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a student at MIT with experience tutoring students for school and university.

My standard is $40 an hour
How did you get started teaching?
I discovered I had a passion and a talent for it.

My students have ranged from those struggling in school to those who find scool boring and wanted to accelerate their learning.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
My student finding my lessons so engaging she asked me to keep going every time our lesson was supposed to have come to an end.

What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
You do not need know your problem area, part of a teacher's skill is figuring that out.
