About
Currently a freshman at Harvard University, I anticipate to concentrate in Applied Mathematics. In high school, I founded the first junior high math club at Maranatha Christian Schools in San Diego, where I served as head coach for four years, preparing students for math competitions like AMC8 and Mathcounts.
For my students and tutees, I seek to find the method that works for them and inspire a passion for math. Although math is currently my best subject, it once was my worse. When I was in first grade, my teacher contacted my parents to tell them I was struggling with problem solving. Since then, through continuous practice and perseverence as well as finding a method that worked for me, I used not only hard work, but also smart work and passion for the subject. In high school, I completed AP Calculus AB and BC and AP Statistics with straight A's and 5's on the AP test. Furthmore, I completed Linear Algebra with UCSD, receiving an A.
Moreover, I have extensive experience with competition math. I have received American Mathematics Competitions (AMC) 10 Distinguished Honor Roll and Honor Roll as well as AMC 12 Honor Roll. Furthermore, I have been an American Invitational Mathematics Examination (AIME) Invitee from 2014-2017.
