About this tutor

As an engineer, mastering calculus has been the foundation of my success with the following classes I've had to take in college in order to establish a successful career

Breaking down the problem into its simplest pieces and slowly working up to the big picture is my main focus. It is awesome to see students finally be able to grasp concepts that they had previously struggled with.

Angelo was FANTASTIC! Very efficient, patient, and informative. Angelo was very flexible with scheduling. He took a complex subject like Calculus and simplified it for my son. Angelo knows the subject amd most importantly knows how to simplify and communicate it to others. I would highly recommend Angelo and Math Tutoring.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

A brief conversation over the phone at the start getting to know them, and if possible, getting a list of subjects and topics that the student currently needs help with, along with the class syllabus/schedule.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Boston University. I have also taken Calculus 1, 2, and 3, as well as Differential Equations and Linear Algebra as part of my curriculum. I have also taken the AP Calc exam back in high school and scored a 5.

I previously tutored students specifically with calculus before, but also worked as a teaching assistant for an engineering class as an undergraduate, giving me experience working closely with students 1-on-1.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.

$40 an hour. The first session is always free, and the decision can be made then if you want to continue with tutoring.

What types of students have you worked with?

High school students and college students.

What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?

Understand what you don't know first. That will greatly help the person who is trying to figure out your weak points.
