One of the joys in my life is helping students understand and succeed in their math courses. I take great pride and care in making sure my students leave sessions confident in their ability to master the concepts we worked on together.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
When working with a new student, I work together with them to evaluate what would best suite their needs and their learning style. Some students prefer to work on homework assignments together. Others come to sessions with specific questions or concepts they need addressed. I either work with them to complete assigned work and/or I find resources for them to have extra practice in the concepts they are struggling to understand.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a B.S. in Secondary Math Education from Louisiana Tech University and more than 20 years tutoring students in math courses. I have 6 years in the classroom teaching 8-12th grade math. I have worked with homeschool students, and I have taught homebound students for the local school board.
