I like to provide academic and social support to my students, as oftentimes, the issues are not strictly about academic aptitude, but more so about their own anxiety/self-doubt regarding their performance. I believe through support, I am not only able to build a bond with my clients, but also get them to enjoy coming to tutoring!
I also have a very efficient method for tutoring to make sure that the students understand and retain as much information as possible.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
First, I like to get a scope of where the student is in terms of grade and interest in the class. This helps me assess the best plan to help.
I would also need information on the resources being used in the student's classes - which textbook are you using, do you do homework online, etc.
