About
I give and create personalized experiences that are tailored towards my student's needs and preferences. I also cover a wide range of topics, abilities, and special qualifications for different age ranges and English abilities. I am a certified TEFL instructor and I have six years of experience in tutoring, despite my age!
My favorite thing about tutoring is watching my student's confidence increase as they develop their skills and abilities. There is nothing as fulfilling as facilitating that process, and it really pushes me to go the extra mile with all of my students.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
When I take on a new student, I spend our first session getting to them, defining our goals, and making sure that we are a good fit together. Then once we've started working together, I have regular check-ins to make sure we're meeting our goals and that they're happy with the work we are doing together.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been tutoring consistently since 2014, in formal capacities and informally as well. I graduated with my degree in English and also got TEFL certified this year, with special attention to working with early year students. Finally, I have significant experience working in multicultural spaces and have earned an advanced cultural competence certificate that helps me work with students from any and all backgrounds.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I try to be as flexible as possible with my pricing, considering how difficult the covid19 pandemic has been for the majority of us. My minimum price is $15 per hour, but if we do multiple sessions a week I am always happy to accomodate you.
How did you get started teaching?
I started teaching naturally as someone who loved learning and being a student, I wanted to give that same experience to other learners.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with a wide variety of students: early learners, non-English speakers, special needs students, and of course students from all different cultural backgrounds.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
I would recommend being as proactive as possible! Teachers love to see initiative, and if you show that early on, we are more than likely to respond to that well.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
A student should consider how much time they are willing to dedicate to their classes. Students should also be aware of how they like to learn; the same approach doesn't work for everyone and teachers will appreciate you being as clear as possible on that front.
