EIA Homeschool & Tutoring
About
I love helping kids connect with their work. If they are geared for learning and ready to understand I'm ready to teach! I have homeschooled preschool 1st 3rd 4th and 8th. I'm a mom of 2 with one adhd child and one student with adhd and dyslexia. I myself have my own diagnosis that help me connect with kids who may struggle a bit. I am also skilled in other elementary and middle subjects as well! I was an honors student and gifted my entire lower and highschool years. I tutored a bit in college but did not finish due to family planning and finances. Hopefully will one day further my education but for now I'm a happy mom willing to help.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I usually do in home work but have done some online work through video chat or phone calls.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a highschool degree graduating with honors. I have homeschooled my own children as well as one older student. I love teaching and I am quick to learn new topics and put them into play.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
We can discuss per inquiries. Depending on your child's needs
How did you get started teaching?
I started homeschooling the day around COVID times but reluctantly sent my son back to public school. Over time I had realized school wasn't doing most of the teaching I was. Everyday my son would come home and I would reteach most of his classes. At that point I decided to pull him from school and do things myself. If I could tutor in college there was no reason I couldn't teach a child.
What types of students have you worked with?
College students (not typically preferred)
Jr. High
Elementary
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
While working with my 8th grade student I was so happy to see her laugh and smile when working with proportions in her own work. Months ago she was in tears with public school math and now she uses math for everyday situations. It's beautiful to see struggling kids connects the dots and feel proud of it.
