Pathways Christian School
About
I love making learning accessible to all students. I enjoy working with students with learning disabilities using hands on activities, exploring patterns, and finding ways to help a student learn. I use everything from sand to sandpaper.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I speak with the student and parents, asking them what they see the problem is or what they struggle with. I request past assignments to see error patterns. I also do informal testing. If possible, I try to get information from their classroom teacher about perceived needs.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have an education degree. I have been certified in Minnesota and California from preschool to high school. I have extensive phonics training. I have Orton-Gillingham training. In math I have received specialized training from Marilyn Burns and received training in undergrad using hands on materials. I have taught struggling students for over 35 years.
