When most parents think of high school tutors, the first things that may come to mind are inexperienced, lazy, or unqualified. However, I'm anything but those things. Being a high school student makes it much easier to understand another student's struggles and how to fix them. I also have an open schedule with availability most days afterschool and usually on the weekends.

I attend Riverdale High School, and I am in the top of my class. I have a composite of 32 on the ACT. I have a 29 in both Math and Science, and my highest scores were in English (35) and Reading (36). If you need proof of these scores, I can show you a copy of my score report to our first session. I will be attending the University of Notre Dame with a full-tuition scholarship in the fall.

I really like working with students because I feel like the connections I develop with my tutorees are more friendly and easygoing. I feel like teachers can be hard to communicate with and sometimes even intimidating, so by providing tutoring services as a student, I feel that it makes the idea of getting tutoring more comfortable for the student as well as the parent. I also like to see progress and teach others how to be organized with their studies. It honestly just makes me feel better knowing that I did something to contribute to the future of a fellow student.
