About

I have always tutored family and friends growing up because it was gratifying to see them learn new things and understand things that were previously foreign to them. I know no two students learn the same, and will go through any kind of method necessary to get a concept across. I tutored student athletes at LSU recently, as well as friends and family. I am a sophomore computer science (concentration in data science and analytics) and math (concentration in statistics) double major at LSU. I have taken Calculus 1, 2, and 3 honors, linear algebra, differential equations, discrete mathematics, data structures and algorithms, and I tested out of the pre requisite college algebra and trigonometry, and did well in all of these classes. I always make sure to learn the concepts in these classes before the computation because conceptually understanding math and computer science will be of far more use than plugging in numbers into equations and functions you don't understand.

Frequently asked questions

I will typically start off with a comprehensive test that will help me analyze which areas a student is struggling in, as well as doing well in. I then use this knowledge to determine the right way to approach teaching the student. By building their confidence with the topics they are good at, I've seen before that most students know the process but are not confident which is where their mistakes are made, so by building the confidence they are able to prove why they got to an answer rather than hoping they got the answer right.

The rate is negotiable. The variables that will determine the price are: complexity of the subject and if I have to travel. I am a sophomore in college and will not charge like I am a PHD student.

Initially, my friends and family needed help with math. So I would always help that way. Then in college I learned I could make money tutoring so I started tutoring student athletes at LSU.

Student athletes, elementary students, middle schoolers, highschoolers, and college students.
