About
I truly love math and have been a tutor for my peers from highschool through college. Now I have graduated with an engineering degree and honestly miss working in the math tutorial center. Let me make math less scary and more fun. I have experience catering to many different learning styles and lots of patience.
Math is a sticky subject for a lot of people, but it is such a vital one. I love being able to see the information click in someone's brain and the confidence that it brings them.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I like to walk through a couple problems with you to see what concepts are pain points. Once I can tell where the issues are, I can start to fill the gap with some solid foundational knowledge and help you develop a strategy for the problem type but also a strategy to study and improve.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I received my bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Tennessee. While I was there, I worked as a tutor in the math tutorial center for four years. Before that I was a volunteer tutor in my highschool.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I charge hourly, depending on the level of math. Starting rate is 25 dollars an hour, but feel free to talk to me about it.
