About
I have been a speech language pathologist for 14 years and a reading specialist for a year. My husband and son have both struggled with dyslexia and reading has always been a challenge for them. Watching their struggles motivated me to further my education on how to help students with similar struggles. I am passionate about my job and love to see progress in the areas of speech, language, reading, writing and spelling. I don't consider what I do "work" because I love it so much.
LOVE seeing students make progress with reading, writing and speech skills.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I begin by reviewing previously taught lessons and then proceed to the student's lesson. For reading and spelling tutoring, specifically, I use the Orton-Gillingham approach, which is a multi-sensory, explicit and progressive program that teaches basic phonics and through a progression, teaches the rules of the English language. I have personally seen amazing progress in the areas of reading, spelling, writing and speech sound production with the use of this program.
