Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
If the student already has work to do, I will make sure that we always work on that. If there is nothing in particular due or no assignments that they need help on, I can provide lessons for us to work on based on where they struggle.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a bachelors degree from Western Kentucky University's Honors College in both math and education.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Per hour my rate is $30 for an online session, or $40 for in person.
How did you get started teaching?
I got my bachelors degree in math education and have loved teaching ever since!
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with all types of students from those who are non-verbal and below grade level to students who have gotten perfect scores on their ACT.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I love seeing students succeed after something clicks in their brain. If one descreption of a method does not work, then we will try as many ways to descibe it as possible until something makes sense.
