I am a retired elementary school teacher who loves children. I love to help children excel and improve their reading and math skills. I am available for homework help in math, reading, language arts, and spelling. I can also help with science and social studies.
I have a Bachelors degree in Elementary Education and a Master’s degree in literacy.
I enjoy watching students improve and gain confidence in themselves and their abilities. The “lightbulb” moments when the children make a breakthrough and understand how to solve problems or understand what they’ve read is so rewarding!

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Basically speaking with parents about concerns they have and what the child is struggling with.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Bachelors degree in Elementary Education and a Master’s degree in Literacy K-6. I taught elementary school for 15 years and did some tutoring after school as well.
