My strengths include grammar, writing, and editing. I have a marketing background and I am a Literacy Intervention Specialist. I work with dyslexic or reading-challenged students to help strengthen their reading skills and confidence. I use the Orton-Gillingham Approach, which is a direct, explicit, multisensory, structured way to teach literacy.
I enjoy seeing my students' confidence grow as their reading skills increase. "Aha" moments are the best--when they have struggled with a concept and it suddenly clicks. I also enjoy getting to know them as we work together.
