I attended college a couple years ago and received my Associate’s degree as well. The reason why I believe that I was able to get through school was because I had amazing tutors all along. Not only tutors but I was fortunate enough to get some mentors through out my college years. I believe passing knowledge and helping other students to understand the material/topic gives them some kind of power. We feel empowered when we study and understand a subject. Therefore, I want to help students along the way understand the material. Based on my past experience in tutoring Math (2+ years), I learned that all students learn a different way - I like to get feedback, not only from students but also from parents, on how the student is learning best.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have received my A.A/A.S at a California Community College. I've taken several classes such as Trigonometry, Algebra, Calculus as well as some general Chemistry classes. I have an A.S in Chemistry.
How did you get started teaching?
I love to help students or friends understand a subject that I'm good at. When I was a kid I didn't have that help and I would get stuck understanding certain school subjects which is why I want to be able to help students grasp on subjects that they have trouble understanding. Also, if I could teach a subject then that means I understand it as well :).
