Hello! I am excited to get to know your student and help them reach their full potential. My experience includes working as an 8th grade math teacher, teaching Math 101 at the University of Kansas, and managing a math learning center. I am skilled at working with students of all ages and ability levels.
As a tutor, I will start by quickly assessing your student's fundamental skills so that we can address the root of the problem while supporting homework and test preparation at the same time.
I understand that all students learn differently and to meet your student's unique needs, I must first get to know them and find their learning style.
I love watching as my students' confidence improves. When working with my pupils, I focus on what they are doing correctly and build from there. Many students have told me they actually enjoy doing math once they feel like they understand it. I have found that boosted confidence in their math skills often spills into other areas of their lives as they find their ability to learn and work independently.
I care deeply for each of my students and will be their cheerleader, not only in their math skills, but in all areas of their lives!
