About
I really enjoy getting to know my students to help them enjoy mathematics! I haven't always loved math but I learned to as I discovered that I could do well. It's my goal to teach students to love math through comprehensive tutoring, goal setting, and adding tools to their "tool box".
I have tutored mathematics throughout high school and university. I have worked with students on elementary math through calculus, and I excelled in those courses myself. My favorite course is calculus because I remember coming home to my mom excited to tell her "everything is coming together and it's beautiful!" after a particularly enlightening class. However, I also enjoy teaching all the courses leading up to it, as there are tools required to reach that level!
I really enjoy seeing my student's faces when something clicks. There's a joy in mathematics and I just want to help others discover it.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I like to get to know a student's strengths and weaknesses in mathematics for their grade level during the first session. We set realistic goals together for what we want the tutoring to achieve and a plan to reach this goal. I think with new students, the first session should always be more about the student than anything else. I want to get to know them and how I can help.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am an aerospace engineering major at the university of Kansas and I have excelled in all of my math courses from middle school through university level. I tutored mathematics extensively in high school through Missouri's A+ program and in university through the university athletics.
