About
I am a recent Mechanical Engineering Graduate and a math whiz! I love teaching students new ways to think about math and problem solving. I have been able to help students love math and improve their understanding of it! I specialize in upper math classes (Geometry, Calculus, etc.) but am also available for Algebra and other high school/middle school math tutoring.
I love introducing a new outlook on math and helping students understand math in a new way. Helping students master the fundamentals of math creates valuable real-life qualities such as problem solving and critical thinking!

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I usually begin with assessing the students problem solving process and understanding their outlook. From there, I find which areas of math the student struggles with and why. Then I begin to develop those subjects with the student to ensure a confidence when these subjects come up on tests and in class.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Mechanical Engineering degree (lots and lots of math)
Mathematics minor degree
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
For lower math, $40/hour
For upper math (calculus), $75/hour
How did you get started teaching?
I began tutoring middle school students when I was in high school, and I found that I was really good at it. I had developed an outlook on math that not a lot of other students had, and I found that as I shared that perspective on math, those students began to excel in their classes.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with elementary students, all the way up to college-age students.
