Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I begin by giving a diagnostic assignment based on grade-level, test prep focus (SAT or ACT), or writing objective (college admissions). I will then collaborate with new students to identify their goals and gaps, both of us developing a learning plan together.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Bachelor's and Master's degree in my content area as well as 7+ years of experience in teaching and tutoring.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
My standard rate is $50 an hour but may decrease/increase based on travel time.
I am mostly available on the weekends!
