Michelle’s Flexible Tutoring
About
Hello! I'm a college student majoring in Computer Science! I've been tutoring for years, and specialize in math, English, history, and computers! I do well with special needs children, including ADHD and autism.
I love helping people learn, and have been called a human sponge my whole life. I especially love helping people who struggle with a subject, or who need a flexible or different learning style! I needed flexible teaching my whole life but never received it, so now I do my best to provide it!

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I normally begin by getting to know the student and how they prefer learning. We discuss the content, and what specific struggles they're running into. If possible, we discuss their learning style and study methods. We determine a baseline starting point for the content and reevaluate the approach and areas that need improvement as needed.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have taken 3 psychology courses, 2 of which were specifically to developmental and child psychology. I've been tutoring for 10 years, retained a 4.0 or height GPA, and worked with clients ranging from pre-K to freshman in college. I know 4 programming languages, have completed 3 computer science and web design courses, a CAD course, and am currently working toward a BA in computer science.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
While pricing does vary by content and grade level, a general range is $15-40 an hour. For most elementary tutoring, an hour is about $15-20.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked mainly with elementary and middle school students, but tutored throughout high school as well. I specialize in special needs students, specifically ADHD and autism; I also have a greater understanding of the learning differences being on the spectrum myself.
