About this tutor
I start with your child. First I find out what is causing the most frustration so that your child can feel confident about their math skills and never uses the words "I feel dumb" when it comes to math. Most tutors focus on just the math concepts, but I also focus on your child's self-concept. Believing that you can do math is half of the battle. Once your child feels he or she can do the math then I can break down the complete concepts into steps that can be easily understood in a patient and encouraging manner.
I get excited when a student gains the confidence to be successful in math and that confidence carries over into other subjects and other areas of their life.

When I first started with Max, I felt unconfident in my ability to solve problems for AP Statistics. After my first session, I aced one of my tests. His ability to break things down made me understand the topics with ease and goes back over whatever you need. He is very passionate about what he does and it is evident in his lessons. Max is the absolute best, hands down! He is also very flexible when needing to reschedule if things pop up. Overall, I wouldn't choose anyone over Max.

Max has a special way of connecting with each child, understanding their learning style and creating lessons and delivery methods that work for each unique child. He worked with both of my girls and both felt like the material was finally being presented in a way they could grasp and understand the concepts. And for the one who struggled the most with math improved her SAT score by 100 points!
