I am an elementary teacher at heart, spending the past six of my eight years in public education at the elementary level. I have taught kindergarten, first grade, third grade, and freshmen English. I have a passion for working with primary students as they learn phonics and begin to learn how to read! There is nothing more rewarding than instilling in a child that reading is not only possible, but can open up a whole new, exciting world for them!
My experience in the classroom includes teaching within the Zionsville, Brown County, and Whiteland school corporations.
I am licensed in both elementary education (K-6) and English (6-12) in the state of Indiana. I also have a Master’s Degree in Education Administration.
I have taught kindergarten and first grade, as well as third grade where print and cursive handwriting and correct formation are taught and reinforced.
I would love to help your child discover a passion and love for learning by adapting curriculum and learning materials to help them learn through fun and engaging activities that relate to areas that interest them!
I love helping students reach their learning potential and tapping into knowledge potential they never knew they had! The best part about helping students, is being a part of their "light-bulb" moments and helping them to reach new goals!

When working with a new student, I like to first get to know their interests, their strengths, and their areas for improvement. In order to evaluate the help I can provide, data from family and/or teachers can help me know where to get started. I like to then map out learning goals and check-in with the students and their family each month to track growth.
