Saman is very knowledgeable in math and goes on to make each session clear and understandable. He also makes each session challenging, motivating, and engaging for my child.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

10 years teaching experience, currently teaching Math at Stevenson High School, in Lincolnshire, IL. Having a Master's in Math Education and a Bachelor's in Mathematics. I tutored prior to teaching, with extensive experience in it. This is something I believe that I'm talented in doing, so I continue tutoring even now.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.

I don't have a standard price yet. However, in the past, it was $65 per session. I would like to continue at this. In this, I will create lessons specific to student needs. If required, I will help students contact teachers and guide students to building executive functioning skills.

How did you get started teaching?

My father is a Mathematics Professor (P.hd) and was always influencial to my academic success. Seeing him teach and help his students really helped me appreciate what it's like to supporting others in learning. I love learning, espeicailly, while tutoring, it is a thrill to solving problems and forgoing challenging material.

What types of students have you worked with?

Gifted and exceptional learners; Special needs learners; High school students, Middle school students; Also, College level math, e.g., Statistics, Calculus, and Finite Mathematics.

Describe a recent event you are fond of.

I've taught a course called Data Science at Northwestern for the past three years now. In this, I teach gifted middle school students to program in R while simulating various probability challenges and prove statistical testing using Chi Square and Regressions. It's always a thrill to teach this class!
