Struggling with Algebra or Calculus? You're not bad at math. You just haven't had it explained the right way yet.
I hold a Bachelor's degree in Statistics from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and have experience teaching at a professional tutoring agency. I specialize in helping middle school, high school, and college students finally understand Algebra I & II, Calculus I & II, and Statistics. Not just to get through the next test, but to actually make sense of the topics being tested.
Most math instruction focuses on memorizing steps. What actually works is understanding the why behind them. Doing so not only helps you grasp the material faster, but retain it longer.
Because of that, my goal is to teach you how to think mathematically. Once that happens, the grades will follow.
Here is how a typical session works: we start with a short explanation of the concept, then work through practice problems together.
