Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
My typical process for a new student is to meet with the student and family to discuss strengths and areas for growth in and out of school. I then take baseline data in the subject of focus to determine what we need to work on. I go over the data with the student and family and create an instructional plan that is best suited for the student.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a Special Education major and have had a variety of practice teaching and tutoring.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I am willing to work with families on pricing based on need, timing, and subject.
How did you get started teaching?
I have wanted to be a teacher since I was 8 years old. It is my greatest passion in life. I want every student to have access to equitable education and supportive teachers.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have primarily worked with students grades K-12 with many different abilities. I have worked with students with Autism, Emotional Behavioral Disorders, Specific Learning Disabilities, and Down Syndrome.
