Hi, I'm Andre, I am a passionate teacher highly focused on Math and Programming , I believe that nowadays, most professors on this study fields don't really try their best in order to achieve that their students understand the subject, they rather just help students memorize. I have never been a fan of this model, so along the last 5 years I've been buildind a teaching method that can help you not just memorize the subject, but rather, undestand it, so that you can solve any problem using said subject.
I am 20 years old, but have been working as a tutor of math and programming for the past 5 years, I was a contestant on the Mexican Olympiad of Informatics, winning a gold medal. If you are having trouble with either math, programming, or even physics, you can count on me, but more importantly, I'll teach you the ways to count on yourself. Everyone can learn math and programming, you just need someone to help you find the way.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I will study along with you in order to find out what are your learning method preferences, I believe everyone can learn any subject, the only thing needed in order to achieve so, is learning how to learn, and that is my objective, teaching students how to learn and undestand problems in their own unique way, I don't believe in pre-established methods, everyone is different, and that is absolutely amazing.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I was a student of programming in the Mexican Olympiad of Informatics, earning a gold medal on it on the 2018 edition. I have been giving classes there and as a private tutor for the past 5 years, and currently I'm studying my college in order to get a degree in Mechatronics.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Yes I do, first of all, I don't do exams and/or projects, in the latter case, I can help you do it, in wich case, depending on the project we can set a price for the job.
Speaking of classes in general I have a cost of $20 per hour and $30 for two hours, If you are willing to take multiple classes (per say 10), we can agree upon a lower price point.
How did you get started teaching?
A friend of mine once asked me to give her some tuition on math, I started helping her and she liked my classes so much I ended up being hired by almos half of his classroom in order to help them study for their exams.
After that, when I was a student on the Informatics Olympiad, I also started helping there to give classes, and realized that is my passion in life, and want to share all the subjects that I love with the world.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have had well over 300 students in my 5 years of experience, so I'd dare to say that every single one (almost), I believe that cracking the learning method of a student is the most important factor as a teacher, and is an adventure that can be fun instead of frustrating.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I am insanely proud of many of my students, some of them have earned scholarships into the most important college in Mexico, others are studying in South Korea. But above all my students, the one I'm the most proud of is my brother, he's an amazing student who has teach me so many things and even on the hard days, reminds me of why I fell in love with teaching in the first place.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
If they come in and start any subject with "This is how you do it", it really isn't woing to work out for you. YOU have the capacity to learn the subject and not just memorize it, don't let anyone make you feel other way.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
I don't think there are bad questions, if you as a student have ANY doubt, no matter how small, a teacher should answer as many times as posible in order for you to undestand, it is also essential that they dont make you feel like a fool when they answer you. Above all thins a good teachers leads himself (or herself) by understanding.
